  • Creating the Logo and Emblem for Viking Guitars was a collaborative effort between my client and I. He had contacted me in early 2017 and presented me with a design of his own that had two hammers form the “V” in viking and a “G” in guitar that looked like a treble clef. My client wished to emphasize his family heritage and love of music through his business logo. I began the design process by researching ancient viking weaponry, but instead of finding a hammer I came across a viking throwing ax. Almost instantly I had an idea for the design that I believed would best represent my client, but this meant changing his initial design. After a quick discussion with my client I got the go ahead to create the new design, while still incorporating the treble clef. Along with the logo I also created an emblem for his business as another means of branding his products. During the design process I presented alternative versions of both the logo and emblem and made changes as my client directed. When the designs were initially completed and presented to the client they were in black and white, but he was still blown away by how they had turned out. In late 2017, with my clients permission, I went on to add the color, dimension, and detail that is now present in both the logo and the emblem.
